Winter Warmer Information Day
Thursday, 1 November 2007,
at The Gateway
This is an information day. There will be a number of stalls and workshops and presentations throughout the day. Older people attending will have the opportunity to have a winter health check and their flu vaccination.
- 9.30am-11.30am -- open for health and social care workers who work with older people
- 12 midday-3pm -- open for older people, carers and family members

Carers Rights Day — Launch of the Carers Strategy
Friday, 7 December 2007 at The Gateway,
11am to 4pm -- Caring Costs
- To provide information to carers on their rights, to be able to influence the increased take-up of benefits for carers and their families
- To raise awareness of the needs of carers
- To help individuals recognise themselves as carers
- Ensure carers are aware of and take up their new right to request flexible working
All this while enjoying comfortable surroundings and access to various pampering treatments. There will be a light lunch provided. Please contact Glen at the centre if you are thinking of attending. This is a day that all carers should be involved in.

Monthly Film Shows
The Gateway Conference Room 12.00/12.30pm
The film which will be chosen on the day will start at 1pm. A highly enjoyable afternoon and one that is becoming more successful as the number of attendees rises. The cost of this film show is only £1.00.
